One of the most common questions we get at 1300 CLEAROUT is:

“How much rubbish is 2.5 cubic metres?”

Unless you regularly work with cubic metres, it can be difficult to picture exactly how much space that is.

Our rubbish removal trucks hold approximately 10m³, so we’ve put together this simple visual guide showing what 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of a truck load looks like.

Our trucks are open at the top with no roof, which gives us flexibility when loading bulky furniture and awkward household items.

You can choose between our Load & Go service, where you have everything ready for collection, or our Full Service, where two men are included to remove, carry and load the rubbish for you.

25% Load – Up to 2.5m³

A quarter load is approximately 2.5 cubic metres.

This is suitable when you have several unwanted household items but don’t need a large clearance.

For example, it might include a combination of:

  • A couple of chairs
  • Small furniture
  • Boxes
  • Bags of household rubbish
  • Small shelving
  • Children’s furniture or toys
  • General garage clutter

Load & Go – $249

Full Service – $349

With Full Service, two men are included to remove the items from your home, carry them to the truck and load everything for you.

50% Load – Up to 5m³

Half a truck is approximately 5 cubic metres.

This is a common size for a larger furniture removal, garage clean-up or several rooms worth of unwanted items.

A 5m³ load could include things such as:

  • Sofa
  • Dining table and chairs
  • Mattress
  • Bed frame
  • Drawers
  • Boxes and bags
  • Small appliances
  • General household rubbish

Exactly how much fits will depend on the size and shape of the items.

Load & Go – $349

Full Service – $449

Again, our Full Service includes two men, so you don’t need to carry the furniture outside or load the truck yourself.

75% Load – Up to 7.5m³

A three-quarter load is approximately 7.5 cubic metres.

This size is often suitable for larger home clean-outs, moving-house rubbish, multiple bulky furniture items or a substantial garage clearance.

It could include a mixture of:

  • Several sofas or armchairs
  • Beds and mattresses
  • Dining furniture
  • Cabinets
  • Desks
  • Boxes
  • Household rubbish
  • Garage items
  • Other bulky furniture

Load & Go – $449

Full Service – $549

With Full Service, two of our team members do the lifting and loading for you.

100% Load – Up to 10m³

A full 1300 CLEAROUT truck holds approximately 10 cubic metres.

This is ideal for larger jobs such as:

  • House clearances
  • Large garage or shed clean-outs
  • Moving-house clear-outs
  • Multiple rooms of furniture
  • Deceased estate clearances
  • Large quantities of household rubbish

Because our trucks are open-top and have no roof, we’re also able to handle bulky and awkward items efficiently.

Load & Go – $549

Full Service – $649

The $649 Full Service price includes two men to remove and load your items, making it a good option when you don’t want to do the heavy lifting yourself.

Load & Go or Full Service?

Load & Go

Load & Go is the lower-cost option when you are happy to have the rubbish ready and accessible for collection.

Our team arrives, loads the items and takes them away.

Full Service

Full Service is designed for customers who want us to handle the whole job.

Two men are included with Full Service.

We can remove furniture and rubbish from inside the property, carry it downstairs or from different areas of the home, load the truck and take everything away.

It’s particularly useful for bulky furniture, larger clean-outs and jobs where there is a lot of lifting involved.

Not Sure How Many Cubic Metres You Have?

Don’t worry — most people aren’t.

You can send us photos of what needs to go, along with your suburb and any information about access, stairs or lifts.

We can then help estimate how much truck space you’re likely to need.

You can also use the 1300 CLEAROUT online rubbish removal cost calculator to get an idea of the size and cost of your job.
