Skip bin hire verses hands-on rubbish removal

We have found that while some rubbish removal jobs are easier to manage using one of our handy skip bins, it’s worth considering the alternatives to make sure it is right for you. Please compare the prices carefully as it is often quicker and cheaper to use one of our hands-on services in place of a bin. The two main reasons for using a bin would be if you need some days to sift through the rubbish before disposing of it as this would not be possible with our hands-on services. Also, it is often more economical to hire a green waste skip bin when disposing of green waste as this is priced at a substantial discount.

As an indication of size, a king size mattress will fit flat on the bottom as well as up the side of the bin.

A Little Bit More Information

Our Household skip bins have been ergonomically designed for ease of use and flexibility. Gone are the days of having to judge the size of the bin you require which often ends up with either paying for space you don’t need or having to order an additional bin in order to complete the job.

Our bins are unique in the following ways
Pay by how much you fill

We have found that customers may have difficulty assessing the volume required when hiring a skip bin for residential and green waste rubbish. For this reason, all our bins come as a standard seven cubic metres in size and you only pay by how much you fill them. On the side of each big we have marked the levels at 3m3, 4m3, 5m3, 6m3 and 7m3 and you only pay by how much you fill. When we deliver the bin we ask that you pay the minimum charge which covers you up to the 3m3 level, and upon collection you settle the balance if you have used more than the 3m3 level.

Flexible location

When you hire one of our skip bins you will see they are on rollers which means it is easy to locate them up a driveway, under a carport or even in your garage or warehouse. This is especially handy with working in tight areas and solves the recurring problem neighbours and passers by using your skip bin for their residential or green rubbish.

Opening doors

Lifting heavy objects like fridges or barbeques over the side of traditional metal skips has always been a worrying prospect and increases the chance of injuring yourself. Our bins have been designed taking this into account and offers double opening stable doors at both ends. You have the option to keep the lower door closed and throw objects over at waste height or having them both open allowing larger items to be transported all the way into the bins using a trolley.
