If you are looking for rubbish removal in Brisbane, one of the first questions you probably have is: how much will it cost?

The answer depends on a few things, including how much rubbish you have, whether you need help loading it, what type of items need to be removed, and how easy the access is. A small pile of rubbish in a garage is very different from a full apartment clearout, a storage unit cleanout, or a deceased estate job where items need to be carried from different rooms.

At 1300Clearout, we aim to keep rubbish removal pricing simple and transparent. Our trucks are approximately 10m³, and pricing is based on how much space your rubbish takes up in the truck.

This guide explains how rubbish removal pricing works, what affects the cost, and how to get the most accurate quote.

How rubbish removal pricing works

Rubbish removal is usually priced by volume, which means how much space the items take up in the truck.

For example, a few boxes and a small piece of furniture may only take up a small part of the truck. A larger job with couches, mattresses, whitegoods, garage clutter or office furniture may take up half a truck or more.

At 1300Clearout, we generally price rubbish removal by truck load size. This makes it easier for customers to understand what they are paying for, rather than being charged by the hour without knowing the final total.

Our pricing depends on:

  • how much space the rubbish takes up
  • whether you choose Load & Go or Full Service
  • how heavy or awkward the items are
  • whether items need to be carried from inside, upstairs or through a lift
  • access and parking at the property
  • tipping, disposal or recycling requirements

The easiest way to get a clear quote is to send photos of the rubbish, your suburb, and any access details.

Load & Go vs Full Service

One of the biggest factors affecting price is whether you need Load & Go or Full Service rubbish removal.

Load & Go

Load & Go is usually the cheaper option. It is best when your rubbish is already gathered in an easy-access area, such as a garage, carport, driveway or front yard.

With Load & Go, our team can arrive, load the truck from the prepared area, and take the rubbish away. Because the job is quicker and involves less carrying, it is more cost-effective.

This option is ideal if you have already moved the rubbish into one spot and simply need it removed.

Full Service

Full Service is best when you want our team to collect the rubbish from wherever it is located.

This may include items inside the house, upstairs, in an apartment, in a storage unit, in a backyard, inside an office, or spread across different areas of the property.

Full Service includes our team collecting the items, loading them onto the truck, transport, and tipping or disposal fees. It is a good option if you do not want to lift heavy items or carry rubbish yourself.

Full Service is commonly used for:

  • furniture removal
  • mattress removal
  • apartment rubbish removal
  • deceased estate clearouts
  • office cleanouts
  • end-of-lease rubbish removal
  • garage or shed cleanouts
  • storage unit clearouts

Full Service rubbish removal prices

Our Full Service pricing is based on how much space the rubbish takes up in the truck.

As a guide:

Load sizeFull Service price
¼ truck load$349 including GST
½ truck load$449 including GST
¾ truck load$549 including GST
Full truck load$649 including GST

Our trucks are approximately 10m³, so a half truck load is roughly around 5m³.

These prices include loading, transport, and standard tipping or disposal fees. If there are unusually heavy items, difficult access, hazardous materials or special disposal requirements, we may need to confirm the final price before the job goes ahead.

What can affect the final price?

Even when two jobs look similar in volume, the price can vary depending on access and labour.

For example, rubbish stacked neatly in a garage with driveway access is much easier to remove than rubbish from a fifth-floor apartment with limited parking. The same amount of rubbish may take longer if items need to be carried through a lift, down a hallway, across a carpark or from multiple rooms.

Things that can affect the price include:

  • stairs
  • lifts
  • long carry distances
  • CBD loading zones
  • tight driveways
  • limited parking
  • apartment or body corporate access rules
  • heavy or awkward items
  • whether items need to be bagged
  • whether the rubbish is spread across multiple areas

This is why it helps to mention access details when asking for a quote.

What items can be removed?

1300Clearout removes a wide range of household and commercial rubbish, including:

  • old furniture
  • couches and chairs
  • mattresses and bed frames
  • wardrobes, tables and cabinets
  • whitegoods and appliances
  • green waste
  • office desks and chairs
  • filing cabinets and shelving
  • boxes and storage items
  • moving-house rubbish
  • deceased estate items
  • general household junk

If you have unusual, very heavy or difficult-to-access items, send photos first so we can confirm the best option.

Is rubbish removal cheaper than a skip bin?

It depends on the job.

A skip bin can be a good option if you want to load rubbish gradually over a few days and are happy to do the lifting yourself.

Rubbish removal is often better when you want everything gone quickly or when you do not want to carry heavy items. It can also be more practical for apartments, offices, storage units, deceased estates and jobs where there is no suitable place to leave a skip bin.

The main difference is simple:

With a skip bin, you do the loading. With Full Service rubbish removal, we do the loading for you.

Local rubbish removal company or large franchise?

When comparing rubbish removal prices in Brisbane, it is also worth considering whether you are booking with a local rubbish removal business or a large national or international franchise.

Large franchise operators can be convenient and well known, but they may also have higher overheads, franchise fees and call-centre-style pricing structures. This can sometimes make them more expensive than a local operator for similar rubbish removal work.

A local Brisbane rubbish removal company may be able to offer more flexible pricing, clearer communication and a more personal service. You can often speak directly with the people doing the job, send photos for a rough quote, and get practical advice based on the type of rubbish, access and location.

When comparing quotes, make sure you check what is included. A cheaper quote is not always better if loading, transport, disposal fees or GST are added later. Ideally, ask whether the price includes labour, truck space, tipping or recycling fees, and whether there may be extra charges for heavy items or difficult access.

At 1300Clearout, we aim to keep pricing simple and transparent. Our quotes are based on the amount of truck space used, the type of service required, and the access involved.

How to get the most accurate quote

For the most accurate quote, send us:

  1. photos of the rubbish
  2. your suburb
  3. a short description of the items
  4. access details
  5. your preferred pickup day or time

Wide photos are best because they help us estimate how much space the rubbish will take up in the truck. If the items are in different rooms or areas, send a photo of each area.

You can also use our online rubbish removal estimator to get a rough idea of your load size before booking. The estimator is only a guide, as the final price can depend on access, item weight, how the rubbish is packed, and whether you choose Load & Go or Full Service. For the most accurate quote, we still recommend sending photos of the rubbish, your suburb and any access details. Please let us know if you would like to use the new estimator tool and we will send you a personal link.
